Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. she is currently president and the controlling owner for the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is an California native who grew in an affluent family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the proprietor of Lakers, among other businesses. When her parents split in 1972 and she started to feel as if she was abandoned. When she was 19, she was employed within the family's company. Then, she established the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. She first served as vice-president for the Lakers before taking on the role of President of the Great Western Forum. Buss, her five brothers and sisters and their father who owned the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder until the time of his passing away in 2013, received this ownership by way of a trust. Each of them enjoyed equal vote rights. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
